I started using Airbnb shortly after graduating college. It was my first time renting my own apartment and I was overwhelmed with rent payments, bills and student loans. I had two jobs and worked to exhaustion almost everyday. One day, I decided to read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and it changed my life.
I brainstormed idea after idea of ways to make passive income. I tried retail arbitrage, making art and the list goes on. One day, I came across Airbnb and thought it was worth a try. I started out only renting my apartment on weekends and that alone covered all rent expenses. I realized there are amazing opportunities with Airbnb and began expanding. One airbnb quickly became ten and my plans are to expand to twenty seven units in 2020.
Within two years, I amassed hundreds of five-star ratings and generated a six figure income with a minimal investment in time and capital. I figured out a system to invest in real estate without having to buy a property. I’ll go over the steps I took to acquire the properties as well as tips on managing the properties remotely.
